The dorm is integrally connected with the multi purpose rooms that invite children to mix.

The kitchen dining being the main interactive space is designed as an open plan with a series of spaces
The organising concept is the central courtyard, conceived as a large space designed to accommodate the boundless energy of children. Courtyards surrounded by stepped seats as a stage for interaction between the students. The staff quarters has the concept of courtyards and terraces at each level effectively incorporated, facilitating active interaction of the residents at all levels.
The concept is to foster in children the awareness and affection for nature and climate by offering space surrounded by nature.
Situated at the mid-slope of an exciting terrain, land development is kept minimal and the buildings are planned to connect with the ground and the surrounding nature. The challenges for the project were to convey a warm openness, to provide flexibility, and to accommodate varying learning group sizes and learning strategies. The programmatic intent was to create independent, team-teaching clusters of academic classrooms while allowing future flexibility for non-team educational models.
The academic block is designed to establish a sense of place, fascination and playful instruction, yet blend with that of the university environment.
Care was taken to retain the vernacular flavour. This is achieved through sloped tiled roof and bricks sourced from the original kiln.
In Manipal town, was a 110-year-old sprawling structure that was once a brick and tile factory that had fallen into disuse. This property belonged to the Pai Group, who was keen on constructing an ecologically sound corporate office without changing the vernacular style of the building and one that respected historic continuum
The structure was dark and ill ventilated Ventilation was created through internal courtyards Parts of the roof were lifted, and parts replaced with glass inset mangalore.

The volume of the kiln was utilized by casting a slab to create two levels of usable space The upper level was used for the director's offices and conference rooms while the lower level housed the office spaces.
The solutions evolved conserve local traditions and the inherent quality of the existing built environment The use of local materials and traditional methodology incorporating state of the art technology for the corporate environment created a unique office.
